This is a very solid idea for an activity in Queens.    There are   25 pool tables, four ping pong tables, a foosball table and two air hockey tables, as well as some arcades.  The charge  is based on the time you spend at each activity.  The crowd is very decent, though very casual.  You can park across 70th St in front of Bowlero.

You and your team get locked in a fully themed room. The clock starts as soon as you enter. You have 60 heart pounding minutes to solve the puzzles, find the clues and get out. You need to think outside of the box and think fast. CAN YOU ESCAPE? Many will try, few will succeed.

The Dave and Busters in the Source Mall is a good place to go on a date if you are going out with a Far Rockaway or 5 Towns girl. I've always had a pleasant experience there, in terms of the other guests and the noise level. Generally, it's most quiet in the middle of the day. The worst I've ever encountered there were a bat-mitzvah party and my wife's neighbors.

Monster Mini Golf is a glow-in-the-dark mini golf/arcade place with air hockey.  Although it's dark, it's not too dark for comfort. I don't see someone spending much more than 1.5 hours there.
40 - 60 minutes from Far Rockaway, Five Towns, Queens, depending on traffic and exact location.

Artrageous

Rockville Centre, NY 11570-4701

Artrageous is located about 20 minutes from Far Rockaway (it's a little closer coming from 5 Towns). The prices in Artrageous may be a little more expensive then some other pottery places but on the plus side they do have a nice selection, it's a quiet place where it is easy to work, and the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable.
Pottery Places: At a  pottery place you paint a ceramic object of your choice like a bowl or a mug or something like that. It usually takes one to two hours to complete. Pottery places are good for later dates when you are presuming (or hoping) that you will still be dating around 2 weeks later when you can pick up the items you painted. That being said, you shouldn't save a "pottery date" until you are definitely getting engaged, because if you both enjoy the activity it can certainly advance your dating.  Pottery is also a good date for engaged or married couples as it's nice and relaxing, it lets you be creative, and you leave with something for your home. Everyone should try it at least once; you never know, maybe you are more artistic than you think!

From the BPMM website: Located in the Bronx, just ten miles from Manhattan, Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum, with its splendid late Federal style exterior and Greek Revival period rooms, is a hidden gem set within New York City’s largest park – Pelham Bay.  As the only grand 19th century country house still in existence overlooking the bay, the Museum provides an important link to the social and architectural history of New York City.
The Bartow-Pell Museum is situated within a 60-acre New York City Landmark Historic District and is surrounded by a “forever wild” zone. The six acre site boasts a formal, terraced garden, designed by Delano & Aldrich in 1916, a circa 1840 Carriage House, a Children’s Organic Garden, and the Pell Memorial Gravesite.

HOURS AND ADMISSION
Mansion and Carriage House:   Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.   12 noon – 4 p.m.
$8 for adults,   $6 for seniors & students,   free  for children under six.
