Upper class place to go bowling they also have arcades. Semi private lanes, not very noisy.

Staten island Ferry

Picture
South Ferry Plaza,  4 South St,
New York, NY 10004

USER SUBMITTED!

The 5 mile, 25 minute ride also provides a majestic view of New York Harbor and a no-hassle, even romantic, boat ride, for free! One guide book calls it "One of the world's greatest (and shortest) water voyages." From the deck of the ferry you will have a perfect view of The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. You'll see the skyscrapers and bridges of Lower Manhattan receding as you pull away and coming into focus again as you return.

When you get to Staten Island you can either walk along the boardwalk, find a park a short bus ride away or just hop on the next ferry back best of all it's FREE :)

Pottery Places: At a pottery place you paint a ceramic object of your choice like a bowl or a mug or something like that. It usually takes one to two hours to complete. Pottery places are good for later dates when you are presuming (or hoping) that you will still be dating around 2 weeks later when you can pick up the items you painted. That being said, you shouldn't save a "pottery date" until you are definitely getting engaged, because if you both enjoy the activity it can certainly advance your dating.  Pottery is also a good date for engaged or married couples as it's nice and relaxing, it lets you be creative, and you leave with something for your home. Everyone should try it at least once; you never know, maybe you are more artistic than you think!

Many people have told me that they liked using this place for dates. I have never actually been here but from what people tell me it has a nice, calm, relaxed atmosphere, not like a wild party place.
