Far Rockaway/5 Towns

Picture
From Far Rockaway/ 5 Towns go to: Queens, Manhattan, Brooklyn Come to Far Rockaway/ 5 Towns from: Queens. *Far Rockaway/ 5 Towns has many restaurants and is very spread out so it could be that even a local girl wouldn't  mind staying in the area, especially if you go to a restaurant a little further from her home.

Cho-Sen Island

Picture
Cho-Sen Island is a  formal Chinese restaurant with good food and good service. Don't worry: even if you shy away from Chinese food, you will have options on their menu. There is plenty of street parking as well.

Traditions

Traditions is a nice fleishig  restaurant. Friendly service, good food, nice atmosphere. Sometimes it is crowded, sometimes it is empty so you may want to call before going. Once a week they have an all you can eat buffet, you may or may not want to do that on a date.

This restaurant is a little further out then the restaurants on Central, it's about 20 minutes away. It's quiet and the manager is very nice. He will let you stay there as long as you want. I even heard he lets you sit there and play board games.

Coffee Bar

Coffee Bar is a great milchig restaurant right on Central Avenue. While it isn't formal, it is nicely designed.  The food is excellent and the service is good as well. The prices are reasonable and their portions are large. The paintings on the walls can provide you with topics of conversation when you have a quiet moment.

Cafe/Dessert
Cafe/Dessert restaurants do not have waiter service. They are a great option if you want to sit and talk like you would in Starbucks, but want more food options. Cafes are also suitable places to pick up a light meal and bring it to a park or a mall if you'd like to sit in a different setting.

Cravings is not a sit-down restaurant with waiter service. However, it is a great place to sit and talk. They have salads, pastries, muffins etc. They make really good smoothies and iced coffee slushies.   Their cookies are also very good.

Qcumbers

Qcumbers is a  nice cafe/restaurant in Cedarhurst. They have counter-service only. The tables there are a little close together so when the store is full it may not be ideal for a date.
